Marc is a well-seasoned hotelier with in-depth, extensive knowledge in the industry. Having worked in hospitality for 13 years, eight of those being in South East Asia, Marc has gained significant experience on an international level. Most recently, Marc has been based in Indonesia at AMAN Hotels and Resorts. Here he initially began as Director of Food and Beverages at one of its retreats, Amanjiwo, going on to become General Manager, this time, however, overseeing operational activities for three of Aman’s establishments, namely Amanwana, Amanikana, and Amandira. Now, at Maia Resort Quy Nhon, Fusion’s latest resort, Marc will look after everything from sales and marketing to day to day running.
Prior to his time spent in Indonesia, Marc started his life in hospitality in Canada, working at Fairmount Hotels and Resorts in 2007. From there he went on to hold roles at The Yachts of Seabourn and The World of Residensea in the USA, and in 2012, he made the move to Asia, working in the Maldives, Thailand, Indonesia, and now Vietnam.
Marc’s first step in the industry was as a sommelier, where he continued to progress quickly in the hotelier food and beverage field, before becoming a general manager. Over these years, he acquired a far-reaching understanding and knowledge in the providing of exquisite cuisine for guests, and developed an expertise in showcasing cultural food and beverage delights. This in-depth wisdom allows Marc to provide unforgettable culinary experiences with ease, and consequently makes him the perfect addition to Fusion’s culinary focused newest experience, Maia Resort Quy Nhon.
“With Marc’s particular background in both managing 5-star hotel resorts, coupled with his extensive knowledge of food and beverage field, we feel we could not have asked for a better person to take the helm at Maia Resort Quy Nhon” shared Samir Wildemann, Fusion’s vice president of operations. “The whole concept of Maia Resort is to provide immersive, exclusive and memorable culinary experiences, and with Marc’s background, we know that this will be in safe hands.”
Fusion Hotel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Bittner as the General Manager of Fusion’s newest addition in its catalogue of wellbeing escapes, Maia Resort Quy Nhon. This resort is particularly unique as it brings an entirely new culinary focused concept, providing a completely food indulgent experience on one of the most stunning beaches on Vietnam’s central coast.

With the region’s rich, unique culture and welcoming community, I cannot wait to get started and look forward to providing visitors a completely exceptional and indulgent escape.”
