As design Director with Fusion, Thanh provides initial conceptual design and brand pre-concept that can then be further developed by the Concept Team, receiving data from the client and investment team and ensuring sufficient information is available to research further stages. With qualifications in architecture, he worked as architect at KTOM, Site Asia in site work, design office building, hotel. Joined Fusion in 2008, Thanh worked extensively in the hospitality sector, taking lead roles in the design of Fusion Maia Danang, Fusion Resort Cam Ranh, and Fusion Resort Phu Quoc and many more projects.
Neil is responsible for the management, co-ordination and control of development projects including; contract procurement, commercial management and administration of construction contracts and their implementation. Neil has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, and has led projects in; UK, New Zealand, Thailand, Vietnam and UAE. In addition to his work in Vietnam, which includes construction project management of several 50 storey and 30 storey buildings, Neil was Director of Property Services with RMIT University where he oversaw construction of a five-storey academic building and library upgrade project. Neil holds a construction degree and post graduate diploma in Property Development and Project Management, and is a Member of Association for Project Management and Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Rolf returned to Fusion in 2019 as the Senior Concept Designer with over 18 years’ international experience as an architectural engineer and interior designer. With a broad range of skills and experience from overseeing architecture, interior design, engineering and project management, to managing company organisation, quality control and business development, Rolf holds a master’s degree in architecture from the Delft University of Technology, one of the top three architecture educations in the world. Prior to moving to Southeast Asia, he managed his own architectural design office in the Netherlands.
Sofia has acquired and honed her skills as an architect working on creative projects in Europe and South America for both the public and private sectors. Multi-talented in her abilities, she’s able to move projects of different sizes through all stages of development, from briefing to completion, on her own or as part of a team. An expert at space planning and with a strong eye for detail, she’s an ideal concept manager for Fusion’s growing portfolio of creative and innovatively designed resorts.
As Hospitality Development Director with Fusion, Maarten brings with him broad experience in leadership, business development, customer service, and hospitality operations gained particularly in emerging markets. Understanding the business priorities of managing motivated teams across multiple locations, his previous positions include Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer with Heritage Line Luxury Boutique Cruises that saw him manage cruise ship operations in new markets. His role with Fusion sees him link design with operations.
As Group Revenue Director, Christophe oversees revenue strategy for all hotels. Before joining Fusion, he was Area Yield Manager Indochina and the Philippines with Hotelbeds, where he took responsibility for managing key accounts, conducting in-depth analysis to determine strategy, and provide efficient and scalable solutions to improve organisational processes. Christophe was Group Revenue Manager for Fusion in 2015 where he helped achieve financial targets through effective revenue management and distribution strategies.
Chieu is overseeing the company’s financial operations and budgets for all hotels. She majored in accounting at the University of Economics, HCMC before going on to gain additional qualifications in internal auditing, human resources management, chief accountancy and costings, as well as experience in setting up complex accounting systems. Chieu worked with Liberty Central Hotel as their chief accountant, and as Deputy Director of Finance with Liberty Corporation, where she took responsibility for controlling revenue and costs for all branches managed by Liberty Hotels Group.
As Fusion’s Group IT Manager, Trung takes care of IT operations at corporate head office, and provides support for the hotels. His experience in information technology spans more than a decade, including the role of IT Director with Oceanami Villas & Beach Club where he was responsible for relating IT & ELV during their opening period, taking care of their network infrastructure, PMS, POS and maintaining compliance with inventory interfaces. His technical skills in network management, database systems and operational systems in a hospitality context provide great value to Fusion.
Kieu Anh takes responsibility for the HR operations of Lodgis and Fusion corporate office, providing essential input into daily human resource operations, policy and longer-term strategy, overseeing recruitment as well as supporting properties’ HR. Holding qualifications in English, foreign trade and accountancy, Kieu Anh has a strong background in senior HR management, including building, updating and launching internal standards of operating procedures in compliance with legal requirements. Her previous role includes Head of Human Resources Vietnam with Jones Lang LaSalle Vietnam.
From lead waiter to heading operations for an entire restaurant group, David has held just about every role in the restaurant industry over a twenty-year period, and providing him with experience that is hard to match. His role as Group F&B Manager involves taking Fusion’s signature onsite restaurants back to their roots, elevating simplicity and authenticity over blue-sky reinvention, ensuring standards are maintained at the highest possible levels, and that menus remain inspired and creative. The importance of an F&B identity and soul demands that Fusion’s restaurants are more than just a convenient place to eat.
