Chuc Mung Nam Moi – Fusion wishes everyone a happy and prosperous Year of the Rat!
Excitement mounts at Fusion resorts and hotels as we prepare to enter the Year of the Rat. Activities are being readied in celebration of the Lunar New Year, and an air of excitement lingers as people look forward to the most important holiday of the year, and once of the oldest celebrations in the world.
Tet is a wonderful time to be in Vietnam, every house is decorated in bright colours with flowers and kumquat trees sitting outside each front door. It’s a time of eating with friends and family, and Fusion’s hotels in Da Nang, Cam Ranh and Alba are going all out with traditional family style Tet menus, seafood buffets and all the customary Vietnamese dishes. This is a time of year when you’re not allowed to be hungry!
Time-honoured customs will be taking place at resorts over the three days’ celebrations, with Tet themed cooking classes and banh Tet cake rolling competitions in Phu Quoc, and dragon dance performances shooing away 2019’s bad luck at our hotels Da Nang, Alba and Phu Quoc. Good luck will be welcomed for the year ahead with a traditional calligraphy presentation at Thanh Tan, and our general manager will be handing out lucky red envelopes at Alba.
